Over 20 Years with Wandsworth Community Transport

We are delighted to convert our 15th minibus for our returning customers of over 20 years, Wandsworth Community Transport.

Stanfords and Wandsworth CT

We had the pleasure of supplying Wandsworth CT’s first vehicle back in 2003 and since then, we have converted 15 red Sprinters for them. Their latest Mercedes Sprinter can transport up to 16 passengers plus driver or 5 wheelchairs with seats removed. The minibus also features our exclusive SCW fold-out low-entry side step, tip-up base passenger seats, rear heating and air conditioning, and an underfloor tail lift.

Who are Wandsworth Community Transport

Wandsworth Community Transport provides specialist transport services across the borough of Wandsworth for community groups and individuals with mobility problems. The charity has been operating for over 40 years and relies on a group of fantastic volunteers to provide their services. With an impressive fleet of 23 minibuses, Wandsworth CT’s services are available for non-profit making groups in Wandsworth. This ranges from schools and churches to sheltered housing and disability organisations.

  • Facility to transport 15 passengers plus driver or 5 wheelchairs with seats removed.

  • Based on the Mercedes Sprinter 515 L3H2 (long wheelbase).

Another Secure Cell Vehicle for Our Long-Term Clients SMT Ambulance

We are so pleased to be converting another Secure Cell Vehicle for one of our long-term medical clients SMT Ambulance. We have had the pleasure of working with SMT Ambulance for almost 30-years and during this time we have supplied them with a variety of medical service vehicles.

The Secure Cell Vehicle is designed to specifically transport high-risk mental health patients who could pose a potential threat to themselves or others. Because of this, the vehicle also includes emergency blue lights and sirens.

The Conversion

SMT Ambulance’s latest Secure Cell is based on the Renault Master and can facilitate up to six passengers plus driver with an additional four passengers inside of the cell. The passenger saloon is fully wipe clean and features wipe clean seating, rear heater and air conditioning system, LED lighting and lockable overhead storage racks. Access to the cell can be achieved either from the passenger saloon or via the rear doors.

Vehicle Specification

  • Conversion based on the Renault Master L3H2 (long wheelbase).

  • 5 x rear saloon seats upholstered in wipe clean material with green piping.

London VIP Travel’s First Pro-Monaco Tour Bus

At Stanford Coachworks we have created the Pro-Monaco Tour Bus - a luxury conversion designed specifically for comfort and convenience. This month we have had the pleasure of once again working with our long-term customers, London VIP Travel, to produce their first Pro-Monaco Tour Bus.

London VIP Travel

London VIP Travel are a luxury chauffeur company who provide top-class transport to a wide variety of clients. They have an impressive fleet of vehicles ranging from Monaco Sprinters and V-Classes to Rolls Royces and Range Rovers, all of which are available for airport transfers, luxury tours, VIP transport, corporate events and now production support. The Pro-Monaco Tour Bus

With five ultra-luxury Monaco Sprinters and mini-coaches on their fleet, London VIP Travel wanted something a little different to offer their clients in the film, production and modelling industry. Their sixth Stanford Coachworks conversion, the Pro-Monaco Tour Bus, boasts a premium entertainment-filled passenger cabin with a custom-built dressing room in the rear.

All of London VIP Travel’s conversions are designed to provide the ultimate travel experience for their clients and the Pro-Monaco Tour Bus is no exception! The new vehicle can facilitate up to eight passengers plus driver and features seven premium passenger seats, upholstered in black vegan leather with diamond stitching. The rear of the vehicle doubles as a luggage storage area and a custom-built dressing room with a fold-away LED illuminated makeup table. Take a look at some of the features below.

  • Apple TV with SONOS sound system.

  • Ambient colour-changing roof lighting.

At Stanford Coachworks all of our conversions are entirely handcrafted, from start to finish, by a team of just two highly-skilled coachbuilders. Our unique build process allows us to individually convert each vehicle to meet every organisation’s specific requirements. Many of the SCW team have been with us in excess of 15 years, including out father-son team of Rick and Connor who can be seen converting our latest wheelchair accessible Mercedes Sprinter here!
