A Third SCW Tour Bus for Band Van Hire
At Stanford Coachworks we work with a variety of dealerships all across the UK to supply our customers with bespoke conversions. We have been working with the team at Rossetts Commercials Mercedes Benz for many years now and recently we worked closely with them again to supply our customer, Band Van Hire, with their third Stanfords Tour Bus.
Who are Band Van Hire?
Band Van Hire are a specialist vehicle rental company with a variety of vehicles available to support the music industry. The Brighton based business supplies a range of premium splitter vans, compact splitters, mini nightliners and trailers to artists all across the UK and Europe. Each of their vehicles are fully equipped with the latest technology and are designed to comfortably transport passengers and equipment simultaneously.
The Stanford Coachworks Conversion
Band Van Hire’s new tour bus is based on the L3H2 Mercedes Sprinter and features a comfortable passenger cabin with a large rear equipment storage area. The passenger cabin is fully equipped with six premium reclining passenger seats, two televisions with Apple TV and a Bluetooth sound system, a PlayStation 5 and ambient colour-changing lighting. The Stanford Coachworks Minibus
We are pleased to have been given the chance to convert a fleet of vehicles for one of our new customers based in Yorkshire.
Our Customer
Our new customer is a professional minibus hire company who have been providing their first class services throughout the UK for over 40 years. They operate a fleet of 100 accessible and non-accessible vehicles available for private hire, airport transfers, corporate, councils, schools and charities.
The Conversions
This L4H2 Mercedes Sprinter minibus is the first of 6 non-accessible minibuses for the organisation, which will shortly be followed by 8 wheelchair accessible Renault Masters in the coming months. Their first vehicle can facilitate up to 16 passengers plus driver and features Eberspacher passenger heating, LED interior lighting and a custom rear storage area for luggage.

Based on the Mercedes Sprinter L4H2.
Front cabin seats and headlining reupholstered to match the passenger saloon.
Feature roof and side panels, LED blue / white roof lighting and skylight.
Facility to transport up to 16 passengers + driver.
Manual side step fitted below the side load door.
USB / USBc charging points.
Passenger seats upholstered in blue wipe clean material with red piping and seat belts.
Rear storage area with custom-built shelves and compartments.
Eberspacher passenger saloon heating.
A Third SCW Conversion for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability
We are excited to share our next new conversion for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability. We have proudly been working with the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability since 2010 and are pleased to have been given the opportunity to help them upgrade their fleet this year with four new vehicles.
Who are The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability?
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability is an independent medical charity who provide rehabilitation and long-term care to people with complex neurological disabilities caused by damage to the brain and other parts of the nervous system. Head over to their website by clicking here to learn more.
The Conversion
Their third conversion is based on the L3H2 Renault Master and can facilitate up to 5 passengers plus driver or 3 wheelchairs with seats removed. The conversion features a fold-out ramp with a winch, 230V power to run medical equipment, oxygen bottle storage points, overhead luggage racks and more. Take a look at the specification below.

Behind the Scenes at Stanford Coachworks
We are excited to announce that our latest conversion for our long-term clients, Civilised Car Hire, is now in build! We have been working with Civilised for almost 15 years and during this time, we have converted a variety of splitter vans, production vehicles and Pro-Monacos for them.
Civilised Car Hire’s Pro-Monaco XL11
Civilised’s latest conversion is based on the Mercedes Sprinter and will feature 10 passenger seats plus driver, a dressing area in the rear with an LED illuminated dressing table.
This vehicle is proudly being converted by experienced coachbuilders Juddy and John who specialise primarily in our ultra-luxury Monaco conversions. Due to all of the advanced electronics featured in the conversion, specialist vehicle electrician, Tim, is also heavily involved in the build.
