The First SCW Maxus eDeliver 9 for DABD

We are delighted to be converting the first electric vehicle for our long-term clients, DABD. We have had the pleasure of working with DABD since 2003 and during this time we have converted almost 30 vehicles for them!

Who are DABD?

DABD are a fantastic charity, based close-by to us in Barking and Dagenham, who promote independent living, inclusion and personal development throughout life. They offer a number of different services to all ages including accessible transport, over 60’s clubs, child and adult care, help with finances and kids clubs. All of DABD’s vehicles are fully accessible enabling them to transport wheelchair users, mobility scooters and passengers requiring stretchers or oxygen facilities.

DABD’s Fleet

We have been working with DABD to help expand their door-to-door fleet of wheelchair accessible vehicles with the new addition of their first ever fully-electric minibus! Many of DABD’s journeys are based in and around Greater London, so the introduction of a fully-electric vehicle was important to the charity. This new vehicle will be available to DABD’s members for shopping trips, GP / hospital appointments, school runs, group outings and work or social visits.

The new vehicle is based on the Maxus eDeliver 9 and has the facility to transport up to 10 passengers plus driver or 2 wheelchairs with seats removed. The conversion features our new Eclipse blue passenger seating, a Ricon internal tail lift, DABD’s colourful exterior signwriting, LED interior lighting and more. Take a look around the vehicle in our video below.
