Jess Will be Running the 2025 London Marathon for Variety!

He’s back from retirement! We are so excited to announce that Jess will be running his third London Marathon on Sunday 27th April 2025 in support of Variety, the Children’s Charity!

The gruelling training programme begins very soon for Jess, who will once again be taking on the 26-mile challenge. Previously in both of his 2009 and 2016 Marathons, Jess raised an astounding grand total of £35,000 and finished in an incredible 3 hours and 42 minutes! This time around, Jess’ aim is to cross the finish line with his daughter, Alice.

Over the past few years, Stanford Coachworks have been working closely with Variety to help supply a range of organisations with their famous blue Sunshine Coaches. During this time, Jess has attended many of Variety’s fundraising events where he has been given the chance to experience first-hand just some of the fantastic work that they do.

Who are Variety, The Children’s Charity?

Variety is a fantastic Children’s Charity who have been funding and delivering life-changing programmes to children and young people across the UK for the past 75 years. The charity provides a range of services including grants for specialist disability equipment, memorable day trips and outings, and of course, accessible transport with their famous blue Sunshine Coaches. Since 1949 over 5,800 Sunshine Coaches have been supplied by Variety. These coaches give children the opportunity to explore places and experience different learning environments.

Jess’ target is to raise £15,000 which will allow Variety to donate a brand-new Sunshine Coach to a SEND school or non-profit organisation supporting disabled and disadvantaged young people. If you would like to help support Jess and Variety, you can donate via his JustGiving page here.

We wish Jess all the best with his training and can’t wait to keep you updated with his progress along the way! Good luck Jess!
