A New Renault Master Minibus for Local Community Transport
Last week we had the pleasure of delivering a brand-new Renault Master to Community360 in Colchester. Their new minibus is fully wheelchair accessible and can facilitate up to eight passengers or three wheelchairs with seats removed.
Inside, the vehicle features colourful grey and purple wipe clean seating, plus our exclusive low-entry fold-out side step, an L-shaped front luggage pen, independent passenger heating and an internal tail lift.
Who are Community360?
Community360 is an independent charity that aims to inspire and enable social action to improve people’s quality of life. Their new minibus will be put to work within their hospital discharge service, which is contracted to support the NHS with transporting discharged patients home. This fantastic service helps relieve the pressure on Patient Transport Services (PTS) at hospitals and frees up beds quicker.
Community360 also run a community transport scheme which serves the residents of Colchester, Chelmsford and Maldon. The door-to-door service is available to people with limited mobility, are socially excluded or are geographically isolated, and can be utilised for a variety of trips including medical / dental appointments, visits to see friends and family, or for therapy sessions and learning opportunities. Additionally to this, Community360 also offer a range of popular excursions to help encourage their members to meet new people with in the community, therefore reducing isolation.
We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to convert their latest minibus and we hope that the members of Community360 enjoy using the new vehicle. Thanks for choosing Stanford Coachworks!
