The Lewisham Indo-Chinese Community Receive Their New Electric Minibus!

This month we also had the pleasure of converting a brand-new Maxus eDeliver 9 for the Lewisham Indo-Chinese Community Centre. The fully-electric wheelchair accessible vehicles was presented to the centre by SCW’s Paul Dedman and we were delighted to receive a video of the handover!

What is the Lewisham Indo-Chinese Community Centre?

The Lewisham Indo-Chinese Community Centre is a charity located in Deptford, Lewisham which serves people of Indo-Chinese origin, their families and friends from the surrounding area. The charity has three major services available to their members, all aimed at different age groups and needs. These services include a Saturday Chinese school with multiple Monday-Friday after school clubs for children aged five and above, day centres for elderly Indo-Chinese members, and bi-lingual English / Mandarin nursery services for early learning in both languages. Their new minibus will help support their day care and elderly clubs by providing fully-accessible transport to its members.

The Charity’s New Maxus eDeliver 9 Minibus!

Lewisham Indo-Chinese Community Centre’s new bus features their colourful exterior decals with a bright orange interior, wipe clean seating, an electric side step and an internal tail lift. In total, the vehicle can facilitate up to 8 passengers plus driver or 2 wheelchairs with seats removed.
